t. Mark’s Primary Schools was originally built by the Antrim Education Committee.  

It opened as a Diocesan Maintained school on the 1st of January 1974 with Mr John Mageean as the Principal assisted by eleven other teachers.  Four classrooms and a dining hall and kitchen extension were added by September 1979.


The school has an 'open door' policy towards parents as they and the school are partner in the education of their children. You are always welcome to visit the school with your queries and concerns. There is an active PTA which plays an important role in organising educational seminars and in fund raising.

There is a Toy & Book library and homework centre at the school, the homework centre is open each afternoon Mon-Thurs 3pm.-4.30 pm.
