It is possible that a number of parishioners
may not give much thought to how the church is kept clean;
who vacuums the carpets and the porches, who dusts the
benches, the window sills and various surfaces, who puts a
little polish on the ambo and the organ, cleans the windows
of the crying chapels and the glass in all the doors, who
cleans the candelabra.
In fact all these jobs are done every week by
volunteers among the parishioners.
The work is
mainly undertaken after 10:00 am Mass on Saturdays. New
members are very welcome.
If you feel
that you can offer us a little of your time, and obviously
the larger the number of volunteers the less time will be
needed, we will be very happy to welcome you to our teams of
willing workers. |

Guild is tasked with maintaining the Church and the church
Altar in a state suitable for the celebration of Mass.
Members also prepare the church for special occasions
particularly at Easter and Christmas. The Guild members are
established into teams and each week, on a rota basis, one
of the teams cleans the church. Other members are
responsible for the provision and arrangement of altar
flowers and maintenance of altar linens.
